More than a decade ago, a simple campfire conversation planted the seed for what would become Naturally Lathered Tallow Co. What started as a dream of living closer to the land slowly grew into the life we live today — one rooted in homesteading, faith, and intentional living.

From Homestead to Handmade Skincare

Our homestead became a place of learning, growth, and purpose. We raised animals, preserved our own food, baked bread from scratch, and learned to use every part of what God provides. That journey led us to rediscover one of the oldest ingredients in traditional skincare: tallow.

What began as a small kitchen experiment quickly became something more meaningful. As we crafted our own tallow soaps and skincare, we saw the difference for ourselves — softer, calmer, more hydrated skin, with redness and irritation fading away. Simple, natural formulations became part of our everyday routine.

A Surprising Discovery

The benefits didn't stop at skincare. On long fishing trips and evenings outdoors, we noticed our tallow products kept mosquitoes away — often working better than the chemical bug sprays we used to rely on. And when a bite did sneak through, tallow soothed the irritation fast.

It was a good reminder: sometimes the best solutions are the ones nature already gave us.
